I understand Mario. Sorry if anyone took offense to that last portion. Remember... outsider's opinion.

**WARNING: Outsider's Opinion**
Sorry guys. I'm not a part of your league, but whenever a trade debate hits the forum I feel like I have to at least look into it myself.
I can understand the Stars wanting to move assets/get younger and I know the Marauders want to compete, but this trade is unreal.
I mean, Massicotte will probably be approaching 300 handling turning 23. Not only that, but he's far and away better than any 21yr old, anything in the draft (speculation), and all the 22yr old centers.
Not only that, but he's better than all but 2 22yrs old and he has more handling than all but 1 of the other 21-22-23-24 yr olds in the LVC.
Massicotte is essentially a player that comes along every generation. Sumner however, is freakishly ordinary. He's not even 700 talent @ 32. Most high calibre players in SuperStar leagues appear to be, at a minimum, 700 @ 29 or 30 years of age.
On principle alone, this trade shouldn't go through. The Marauders are having buyer's remorse, edz's defense posts made me giggle (sorry, they did), and it might ultimately affect the integrity of trading w/ both GMs in question here.

Top 3. Furieux Potager and Sex Maniacs. Please fix this.

The above assets are still available!
Boyce has gained 21 points through 7 games so far for those of you who are looking for potential.

I'd say the Penguins did. They have a younger team though so they had younger assets to offer. 35+ yr olds don't really 'wow' me.

From what I've seen, there are a few teams w 7-9 guys over 200 toughness, but not double digits. You and the Durs are likely the 2 toughest Alphasim squads.

bobbarkers' DursDeDurs. 2 over 300, 11 over 200. They're on break right now.

24yr defensive phenom, Adukim Annabe, was already on the league's radar coming into this season; however, a 6-pt start over the first 4 games of the season has nudged him onto the front page of the Silverwater Sentinel and onto the watchlist for many UHL squads.
Scouts from the other eleven UHL teams were in attendance on Thursday in Gloryville for the Spetz's 5th game of the season. The Spetz visited the Gambler$ for the first time this season and looked to extend their franchise-best start to 5-0.
Annabe didn't hit the score sheet until the late 2nd period when a breakout pass from the phenom landed on the stick of a streaking Livan Gamboa. Gamboa, a 26yr winger for the Spetz, promptly flew in on a tired Mike Yee before firing the puck high stickside to give the Spetz a commanding 5-2 lead. Annabe followed that by rolling a weak shot through the legs of Yee early in the 3rd period. The Spetz would win 6-3.
The Spetz continue to hold their 2nd place spot in the UHL just 1 point behind the 5-0-0-0 Albatross. The 2 point night by Annabe give him 8 points on the season through 5 games. The 24yr old defenseman is tied for 7th in league goals (4), and 4th in league points ( . He is also tied for 1st in defenseman scoring with Sean Steele Jr of the Albatross.
The league response has been overwhelming with the Spetz head office receiving a pair of trade offers for Annabe postgame. One scout from the Rhinos said he was the best talent he has seen in years and would love to trade for him. However, GM Christiansen suggested that both offers were still too light and lacked that 'keystone piece' to clinch the deal. The Spetz have now received nearly 10 offers for Annabe this season alone.
The Spetz fly home on Saturday to prep for their home game against the Rhinos on Monday. Annabe will, as usual, be on the first D pairing and will be looking to reach 10 points through 6 games, a feat that he hasn't done in less than 18 games since joining the Spetz.

After an overall disappointing finish to season 38, the Spetz regrouped and rolled into season 39 with renewed focus. So far, that renewed focus as translated itself into a 4-0 start, their best ever start in franchise history. A key success factor has been the emergence of 24yr old phenom, Adukim Annabe. The offensive Dman from Mississauga has posted 3 goals and 6 points thus far through 4 games and appears poised for a breakout season.
"Yeah we're playing pretty well, but we're not taking things for granted," explained Annabe after a 6-5 win over the previously undefeated Finesse on Monday. "I know there's a lot expected of me. I try not to let it get to me. I just step onto the ice every night and do my job."
When asked about the recent trade rumours swirling around his name, Annabe shrugged: "It's part of the game. If you're a coveted asset, teams will be trying to trade for you. As far as I know, the Spetz organization plans to keep me here. All of the offers I've heard of have been from other teams and I don't put much weight on them."
GM Christiansen confirmed Annabe's suspicions: "We've received 7 offers just this season for Adukim. All of which, in our opinion, have been far too light. He's not only a cornerstone on the blue line for us, but he would be for any team in plays for. In return, we need a cornerstone back and the offers we've received so far just haven't had that quality. As far as we're concerned, he's staying put."
The Spetz's 4-0 start is by far their best start since GM Christiansen took over at the start of season 31. Previous bests of 2-0 were recorded in 3 of the 9 season he's be at the helm. "I'm proud of this team we've constructed. It's taken time, thought, effort, and a lot of late nights working out draft orders and deals but we're where we want to be now and we're looking to compete with the best," explained Christiansen. "Yes, there are naysayers that have us finishing midpack, but based upon what Ive seen thus far, I'd say we're looking at a top 3 finish."
Christiansen touted the acquisitions of Hanz and Latraverse as strategic depth moves, suggesting that having a backup keeper like Hanz and a pure scorer like Latraverse would assist in the short term while the team's core was developed. Further, he noted that much of the team's previously underdeveloped youth by way of Shards, Mulnash, de la Mira, Christian, Gamboa, and Annabe have developed to a point of reliability and will be relied upon to contribute regularly.
The Spetz look to extend their winning streak to start season 39 on Thursday versus a tough Gloryville squad. If they can manage a win on Thursday, they have a reasonable shot at an 8-0 start with three relatively easy games afterwards.

It's probably a symptom of the leagues all being run on different days. I have no idea why your team's training would auto-run otherwise. Im glad it hasn't affected any of my teams except for 1 game w/ my Spetz.

HolyWar - Same thing happened to my Spetz in the UHL last Thursday. I don't know what causes it.

As usual, we'll entertain any and all offers.. doesn't mean we'll accept them, though.
In particular though.. we will entertain offers pertaining to the following assets:
Antoine Boyce - 18yr C - 9+6+38+5=58
1st round pick
2nd round pick
We are looking for:
An offensive or two-way Dman aged 18y or 20y
A defensive winger aged 19-20y
Anything else that might pique my interest, although, the above two types of players are foremost.
If you are interested, send offers. Thanks.

deka wrote:If the Goons play it like this throughout the season, you might even sweep your series with them and end up in 3rd, but it looks like Finesse will be playing his vets this season, so I don't see a big chance for you to overcome his squad.
Not so sure, deka. I swept the Finesse out of the playoffs last season w/ his top lineup in.
