Just to give you a bit of background because it has been a lengthy (and very eventful) trade negotiation...
1. Originally I was offering 2 wingers for both his picks. He refused
2. He countered with his two picks and a bunch of young guys with not much potential + 25k for my winger and my best defensman. I refused
3. I then countered with two decent wingers for his two picks + 25k (seeing that he was ready to put money on the table). He refused
4. I then offered my winger + a decent prospect for his 2 picks + 25k. He refused.
There are a couple of other offers and counter-offers in there, but I started losing track and decided to start again from the beginning, and offer the winger I wanted to trade for his 1st pick and see if we could hammer something out. I also traded some of my other players so my list of available players had changed.
5. At that point, I made my "famous" error for my winger + 25k for his 1st pick, which I asked to have withdrawn after I realized I made the error with the money.
6. Once reversed I sent the trade again for my winger vs his 1st pick and 15k. I decreased the amount, because I felt bad for the screw up and also because 25k was maybe asking too much.
The reason why I assume the trade was accepted is because he already has quite a bit of youth coming up in the minors and possibly wanted a player available right now. Without much of an investment of time or money, the winger will go up to 600 easily. Also if you look at the wingers he has, the ones he got from me would definitely fit amongst the top of his team.
I think it is only fair for you to hear my end of the story as well. It is also important to note that I am not the one who originally brought money into the negotiations it was was he who first offered the 25k.
Hope this helps you with your decisions to protest or not.

Usually, I would have protested but since he always ask too much for too little and that it's been a few seasons he done it without understanding anything, I'll just keep wondering why he made that trade and figure his team won't get better soon.
Really, I can see it with your description of events

Tsé, si y'en a d'autres qui ont des milliers de dollars à mettre sur des joueurs, comme je vous disais, j'ai des joueurs de qualité qui demandent juste ça changer d'équipe pour de l'argent. Notamment Marie-Hélène Thibert A 32 ans 422 118 128 698. Faites des offres!!!
